THE THROULS

A throuly sapper preparing havoc

The throuls were migrants from the western parts of the empire and derive from the thorols, who were known for their excellent brewing and cooking skills, partly due to their gluttonous attitude. Some special recipes were known to give enhanced powers to the consumer and were used during raids. After their mass conversation to the Faith, their skills expanded into chemistry, medicine, biology and other similar sciences. They were the first to mass produce black powder and managed to process metals and minerals that were otherwise thought to be useless by most.
The throuls in particular were a major asset to St. Sabileus' millitia. Without them, the troops would have been at a major technological disadvantage and the lack of good meals would have surely killed all moral.
