How's summer going on for everybody?

Very much offline, I've been training somewhat, bought a new 10 kg (actually 9.5 kg) dumbbell because I maxed out the previous 5 kg one, also a lot of work around house and inside
In the meantime I also grew completely frustrated with the Scala compiler and its terrible slowness, will try to write something in pure Java for a new challenge, maybe a booru because Shimmie is terribly slow

You got to slowburn it, but the new one is adjustable, I can simply add more weight if that's required.

'm gonna try learn something about hyperelliptic curves. I like how they look.

Update: bought 10kg more, doing 40 reps of squats with 14.5 kg in a series is brutal and it's still more of a heart training than leg training

bobby, WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BE TECHNICAL WITH ME?

Based.

personally, i used to go to the gym a few days per week, but slowly stopped, since i didnt like how artificial it all was. I hope that after i move out, i can incorporate physical workout with daily chores around the house too.

soruum is... over....
also why java?
typical lowiqbobby moment
>>40
is this some math stuff?
>>41
cool, how much per week?
>>42
It is artificial, but everything else in my life is also artificial, I don't live in a cave.
>soruum is... over....
not over, just paused out ofspite boredom
>also why java?
I know the language, I know the ecosystem, it's the highest performance option without going into C++/Rust stuff, it just works. But I haven't written a single line yet, not really interested in doing anything about coding or imageboards atp.
>cool, how much per week?
Twice per week, but currently doing mostly corrective stuff like face pulls, scapular pushups, etc., will see if this can unfuck me at least a little bit

yeah, roughly they're what you get if you take half a polynomial curve and mirror it over the x-axis, but smoother. they're used in cryptography because you can speed up arithmetic by converting it to geometry.

oh... my... soyance...
I'll be honest, i dont understand how converting speeds up things. (in a cryptographic context)

afaik it's because you can assign numbers to points on the curve and find their sum by interpolating the points and seeing where else the interpolation intersects. the game with cryptography is to add a point to itself a bunch of times because it's difficult to undo this. it's the same idea as adding an angle to itself many times: once you go past 360° it's hard to guess how the result relates to the starting point.
